Victory! - Governor Signs 15PPM Heating Oil Legislation

On Tuesday, Governor Paterson signed the ESPA supported legislation that will require the use of 15ppm heating oil beginning on July 1, 2012. The Governor also asked the Legislature to work on updating the state tax law, because at the present time, heating oil distributors would be required to obtain a "Direct Pay Permit" from the tax department in order to purchase 15ppm heating oil from their suppliers.
